Q: IS NIAGARA FALLS OPEN?

A: Yes. – Niagara Falls State Park in Niagara Falls New York USA is open every day of the year for viewing the Falls. In Niagara Falls Canada, Queen Victoria Park is open for viewing Niagara Falls 24/7/365. Boat rides and seasonal attractions close in October and reopen during the month of May. Fees for automobile parking vary according to the season and location.

Border Crossing: The Rainbow Bridge between Niagara Falls New York USA and Niagara Falls Ontario Canada is open 24 hours a day every day of the year. Typically takes 5 minutes to cross with no delays. Check border crossing times beforehandBorder Crossing Information.


Nightly Illumination of the Falls: 5:00pm-1:00am, January 1st – January 31st 2025.   (X)

Fireworks are displayed every night over the Falls during the months of May through October at 10:00pm. Nightly displays January 1st-5th 2025 at 8:00pm. (X).


NIAGARA FALLS NEW YORK USA ATTRACTIONS – JANUARY 2025

OPEN: Prospect Point at Niagara Falls State Park in Niagara Falls New York USA is open 24/7/365 for viewing the Falls. The Niagara Falls Welcome Center is open daily from 8:00am-6:00pm seven days a week during January The Observation Deck is open every day from 10:00am-4:30pm.  (X)

CLOSED: Maid of the Mist Boat Ride – Open daily from 9:00am-7:00pm seven days a week in season May-Oct. 2025 price: $30.25 for adult, $19.75 for youth 6-12. Last tickets are sold 30 minutes prior to closing.   (X)

OPEN: Goat Island – Open daily from sunrise until midnight year round for parking vehicles. There is no fee to enter Goat Island yet there is a fee for parking. The pedestrian bridge is always open 24/7 to Goat Island and there are no fees to cross. 

OPEN: Cave of the Winds – On Goat Island is open 9:00am-4:00pm daily seven days a week. Off season ticket price is $14.00 adult & $10.00 youth 6-12. Tickets can be purchased at the ticket window or the new Welcome Center in Prospect Point Park. In season rate is $21.00 adult & $17.00 youth. Closed January 9th for maintenance.    (X)

CLOSED: Niagara Scenic Trolley – Open from 9:00am until 8:00pm in season.  Fee is $3.00 for adults and $2.00 for youth 6-12, <5 free.  (X)

CLOSED: Whirlpool Jet Boat – Lewiston location is closed for the season and will reopen April 2025. Reservations are being accepted for 2025. Adults $66.95 Child 6-12 $39.95. < discount available.   (X)

OPEN: Niagara Falls Aquarium Opens everyday at 9:00am-3:00pm Mon-Thu and until 4:00pm on Fri, Sat & Sun. $25.00 adults, $18.00 youth 3-12. Last tickets sold 30 minutes prior to closing. Parking is $5.00. Advance ticket sales available from www.aquariumofniagara.org.      (X)

OPEN: Whirlpool State Park – Open daily from sunrise to sunset. There are no fees for parking. Niagara Gorge trails are open year round. Please use caution. 

OPEN: Niagara Power Vista (hydro-electric plant) – Open seven days a week from 9:00am-5:00pm. No fee to visit and free parking is available.    (X)

CLOSED: ArtPark in Lewiston NY – The live entertainment concert series will resume in May 2025. The park is always open to visitors year round for viewing the Niagara River and the Niagara Gorge. Parking fees only during performances.   (X)

CLOSED: Power Plant Ruins Site – Open daily 7:30am-7:00pm seven days a week in season. Free parking and no entry fees.   (X)

OPEN: Old Fort Niagara – Old Fort Niagara is now open 10:00am-4:00pm Wednesday – Sunday. Last tickets sold at 3:30pm. Adults $21.00 and $13.00 youth 6-12, <5 free. Free parking.     (X)

Parking at any of the NY State Parks in Niagara Falls NY is currently $5.00 per vehicle seven days a week. Credit Card payment only.

Note: Attractions at Niagara Falls State Park must be paid for indivudually. There are no combination passes offered.

NIAGARA FALLS ONTARIO CANADA ATTRACTIONS – JANUARY 2025

OPEN: Queen Victoria Park in Niagara Falls Ontario Canada is always open 24/7 for viewing the Falls.    (X)

OPEN: Table Rock Visitor Centre / Journey Behind the Falls – Open daily Mon-Fri from 9:00am-5:00pm and until 6:00pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Tickets for Journey Behind the Falls-Adults $29.00 – Child 3-12 $19.00. Arrive at least one hour before closing.   (X)

OPEN: Greg Frewin Theatre – Open for performances and dinner shows every Thursday, Friday & Saturday in January. See the full list here. Reservations are recommended. Use promo-code NFLIVE for a discount. Walk-ins are welcome on a first come first served basis.  (X)

CLOSED: Hornblower Niagara City Cruises – Boat Ride Below the Falls is closed for the season. May-August open every day from 9:00am-8:00pm. Boats typically depart every 15-20 minutes. 2025 rate: Adults: $33.50 Child 3-12: $23.50.(X)

CLOSED: Whirlpool Aero Car – Is open from 9:00am-7:00pm daily seven days a week during the tourism season.  Adults $19.00 Child 3-12 $12.50. Paid parking. Arrive at least 30 minutes before closing.    (X)
